Teen girl injured during a shooting between two men

Kanawha County, WV (WOAY) – A 15-year-old girl was shot early Monday, July 14, on Alabaster Drive in Jefferson, West Virginia, during a dispute between two adult males, according to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s office. The victim is hospitalized in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

One adult male involved is in custody; his identity has not been released.

Larry Joe Chapman III, 19, of Charleston, faces malicious wounding charges for firing a shot that struck the victim. Chapman remains at large, considered armed and dangerous.
