Fayette County., WV (WOAY) – Wednesday was suppose to be used as a cool down period in order for teachers to be fully prepared to report back to work on Thursday.

But with new information being released about their PEIA and pay raise proposals being pulled from the agenda earlier today. Some teachers used today as a time to rally throughout the area.

Pre-School teacher Audra Haymie said,

“Today we got the news that our 5% raise was pulled off the agenda because Justice found this revenue source himself and so he had to lift the cap an he was the only person that could do it. Because he was unable to it couldn’t go to the floor, a bill can’t be written until that’s done.”

The Fayette County Teachers Union will be meeting later tonight to discuss whether they will be in class tomorrow.
