CHARLESTON, WV (WOAY) – Teachers are still not happy with Governor Justice’s pay increase or health benefits plan. Many have been meeting across the state, and now some are saying they are ready for a one-day walkout.
Teachers in Wyoming County have one-day walkouts planned – they just won’t say what day yet.
Brandon Wolford, president of the Mingo County West Virginia Education Association says a mass protest is coming, but wouldn’t give a date or details — afraid of what the state could do to shut them down.
At a rally in Wayne County on Monday, Sen. Richard Ojeda, may have let it slip. “I’ve heard that on Friday, there may be a large group of people coming to the Capitol,” Ojeda said.
