Teacher Appreciation Week: A Day in the Life

BLUEFIELD, W.Va. (WOAY) – Some second grade students at Whitehorn Primary School are lucky enough to have the school’s Teacher of the Year leading their classroom.

Candace Bailey has been passionately teaching at the school for almost five years. She says the key to it all is keeping a tight schedule.

“It helps keep all the kids together [and they kind of know the schedule just as well as I do, so they keep me together,” said Bailey.

A lot more goes into her day-to-day life than sticking to lesson plans. Watch the video above for the full story.
