TAZEWELL, VA (WOAY)- Tazewell Virginia’s 7th annual Juneteenth celebration is right around the corner and you’re invited to celebrate.
This free event will begin on Saturday, June 21st, and will end on Sunday. It’ll kick off at the Altizer stage on Main Street at 11 am with different speakers, poetry, music, and more. Afterwards there’ll be a community walk along with delicious food and family-friendly activities.
The weekend will end with a worship service at 11 am at Nuckolls hall and a community meal. The organizers say that this celebration is a time to reflect on our shared history, honor those who came before us, and to build stronger community bonds.
