Tanner Beam is the Weekend Meteorologist for Stormwatch 4, joining the station in September 2025.
Tanner is from Independence, Missouri and a proud graduate of the University of Missouri, with a bachelor’s degree in Meteorology. He specializes in severe weather and winter weather forecasting and has done plenty of storm chasing over the years in the plains. He is very eager to learn about different types of weather to expand his skillset. He is a member of the American Meteorological Society (AMS) and attended the AMS meeting in New Orleans in 2025.
When Tanner is not forecasting the weather, he enjoys outdoor activities like fishing and road tripping. He is also an avid sports fan, cheering for the Missouri Tigers in any sport, as well as the Kansas City Royals and Green Bay Packers. He enjoys playing video games periodically. Aside from meteorology, Tanner is also interested in geography, geology, and astronomy.
