Tamarack to reopen on Thursday with a new refreshed look

BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – Tamarack, the iconic West Virginia artisan market, gallery, deli and grill, will be reopening on Thursday, May 21. Like many other businesses, Tamarack closed its doors on March 17. A lot has changed since then. They have made some big changes and are excited to show them off.

It was decided that it was time to re-invent Tamarack and make some creative changes. Prior to the temporary closing in March, the process of shifting and maneuvering fixtures to create new displays and reinvent the look had already begun. Tamarack, which turns 25-years-old soon, now has a refreshed look on the artisan floor with many new things to shop and find.

Another big change is Tamarack’s popular Deli, Grill and Bakery. The team was in agreement a change was necessary. While the cafeteria style was a unique restaurant model and worked well for many years, it was time to evolve into a newer restaurant model. The staff now considers themselves social distancing experts and have expanded the dining area to allow for tables to be six-feet apart. A few menu changes have been made to adapt to new business trends and the cafeteria model has been eliminated. Now, you will simply place your order upon your arrival to the dining room, have a seat and your meal and drinks will be brought to you. Tamarack will continue to offer their famous trout and fried green tomatoes, amazing chicken pot pie, and the all-time favorite Greenbrier peach and cream along with other menu items.

For now, Tamarack will have new hours of operation, with plans of expanding them once business picks up. So, visit Tamarack soon between Tuesday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm, closed Mondays. All visitors are encouraged to wear masks and be social distancing experts while perusing throughout Tamarack to see all the newness and freshness created while on their temporary break. Hand sanitizer stations have also been placed throughout the sales floor for visitors and employees to sanitize frequently.

Curbside to-go meals will still be available Tuesday-Sunday from 11am to 4pm.
