Tamarack relaunches hands-on community events

BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – For the first time since March, Tamarack is hosting hands-on community events again.

Canceled at the start of the pandemic, the hands-on events include anything Tamarack puts together to encourage the community to come out and enjoy something creative. This weekend they hosted a painting program. Tamarack says they’re doing everything they can to keep the community safe during the initiative.

“We have limited the capacity. We are doing it in our conference center which has 12,000 square feet so we’re able to spread everyone out and follow the guidelines as far as six feet of distance and everything goes. We are requiring masks as well so it will be a safe environment for everyone.”

If the community painting program goes well, then Tamarack will consider hosting more hands-on events in the future.
