BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – Wednesday was no ordinary Wednesday- it was Ash Wednesday. For many Christian denominations it was the first day of Lent and marked by the drawing of an ash cross on one’s forehead.
Students at Saint Francis de Sales School in Beckley told us what the day means to them.
