Stranger roaming around on Bluefield MS campus causes lockdown

BLUEFIELD, WV (WOAY) – A suspicious man walking around the Bluefield Middle School campus caused it to go on lockdown Friday.

Teresa Russell with Mercer County Schools sent out this information:

 

“An unknown individual was on the property at Bluefield Middle School.  The school immediately followed lockdown protocols, and the administration asked the individual to vacate the property.  When the individual failed to leave, the Bluefield City Police were contacted.  The police removed the unknown individual from the premises.”

The suspicious man turned out to be Michael Fritz.  Bluefield Police arrested him and took him to the Southern Regional Jail.
