WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): This morning has greeted the northern and western counties in the area with stormy conditions and moderate rainfall, which will drag to the east by mid-morning. There is a slight chance these will be severe, but mainly consisting of damaging winds. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has your full forecast:
Saturday will be a beautiful start to the weekend, with mostly sunny skies and temperatures above 80° for a majority of the area. However, the shorts weather won’t last forever. Sunday sees a return to the storms and a major cooldown. Severe storms with damaging winds and hail are possible as well. This strong front will bring temperatures crashing down into next week.
Monday will see mostly cloudy skies through the day with a chance of snow late into the night as temperatures dip below freezing overnight. Accumulation in most areas will be minimal as of now, and the showers will leave before daybreak on Tuesday. Cooler conditions prevail through Wednesday, as mostly sunny skies help us warm up above freezing despite the chilly air. Thursday is our next chance of rain, as a frontal system will start moving in later in the night and next Friday.
