Beckley, WV (WOAY) – The state high school soccer championships return to Beckley this weekend for the 18th straight year and the 23rd time overall.
One of the differences from previous years is the turf installation earlier this season on Carter Field, where the Class AA/A games will be played. 10 different schools from across the state had teams qualify, including schools from both panhandles and the Kanawha Valley.
Hear from tournament co-director Dave Laraba and East Fairmont boys soccer head coach Tristan Wierbonski; the Bees play Charleston Catholic at 9:30 Friday morning.
