WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Today is shaping up to be absolutely gorgeous, but that will change as the weekend rolls in. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has your full forecast:
Today will have wonderful warm temperatures in the upper 70s and even 80 degrees and mostly sunny skies through the day. The tides will turn as a new front comes through Saturday. However, the storms are very likely missing us to the north. Thunderstorm risks exist for our northern and western counties, though the risk is very low currently. Here’s a look at the severe weather outlook for tomorrow:

Easter Day will bring occasional scattered showers through the day, so make sure to have rain gear on stand-by in case the egg hunts get rained on. No storms will be around after tomorrow night, however, so it will be safe to be outside for the day. Monday will see continued rain as another front passes through the area, moving directly over the area this time.
We will dry up Tuesday and Wednesday, with temperatures dropping slightly across the region. Tuesday will see temperatures in the high 60s and low 70s before we return to the mid-70s on Wednesday with continued mostly cloudy skies. This next week of April will see very above average temperatures across the country, including us. Here’s the 6-10 day temperature outlook:

Thursday will see a return to rain as a new low pressure system moves across the country. There is a possibility of thunderstorms with this as well due to the sustained warm temperatures. We will keep an eye on all storm threats so we can prepare you for any and all inclement weather. With that in mind, have the rain jacket and lighter layers ready for the warmer and wetter conditions. Here’s your 7-Day Forecast:
