Sophia Police Department Raises Money For Shop With A Cop

SOPHIA, WV (WOAY) – Sophia City Police and Fire Department held a special event today to raise money for children in need.

Sophia City Police and Fire Department waited at the town’s red light to collect some cash from people in our area.   It’s all for the shop with a cop event, which helps students in need. They want to make sure kids have a proper Christmas and warm clothes for the winter.  Some of you are doing your part by filling the boot!

“We’re just trying to raise some money for these children trying to get them some nice things for the holidays trying to do something for the community,” said Shane Meadows, Sophia City Police Officer

Don’t forget, Shop With a Cop starts on December 14th.
