Montgomery, WV (WOAY)- A Fayette County man has died following a bicycle accident.
On Monday, April 14, the cyclist reportedly fell from the on-ramp of the Montgomery Bridge in Kanawha County.
Montgomery Police confirm that he was riding his bike when he swerved, hit a barrier, and flipped his bike over before falling off the on-ramp of the Montgomery Bridge onto U.S. 60.
Witnesses reported to authorities that it was raining heavily and believed the cyclist was rushing to escape the storm.
Authorities identified the victim as 55-year-old Tony Brown of Smithers.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
