Moundsville, WV (WOAY) After more than a decade, investigators have identified skeletal remains discovered in Kanawha County.
The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office says the remains found along Reamer Road near Clendenin in 2014 have been identified as 49-year-old Jeffery Allen Blake of Moundsville through DNA testing and the Combined DNA Index System (CODIS).
Investigators say it’s still unclear why Blake was in the Clendenin area before his death, and the circumstances surrounding his death remain under investigation.
