WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Today will start nice with mostly cloudy skies and a breeze with temperatures reaching the 70s before showers start in the afternoon for most of our area. These showers and storms will last not just through Friday, but Saturday afternoon as well as the low pressure moves from the Midwest to southeastern Canada. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has the details:
While we may see breaks from the rain and storms over the next two days, showers and storms will be developing and scattering across the region. Over the next two days, many areas will get between a half inch to three quarters of an inch of rainfall causing some localized ponding of water. However, flooding and severe weather are not concerns at this time, as these showers and storms are expected to be on the weaker side. Still, if you hear thunder, you can be struck by lightning. When you hear it, get inside a building or your vehicle to stay safe.

The showers and storms today and Friday will be scattered around the region while Saturday will see more steady storms as the cold front being dragged by the low pressure system comes through the area. This will also bring temperatures down to the mid-60s through the weekend.
Sunday will see clearing skies as the low pressure moves past the region, making for a nicer end to the weekend. The clear skies will continue for the start of next week as temperatures rebound back to the 70s on Monday. Tuesday will see some early showers ahead of the next frontal system that will bring showers and isolated storms once again on Wednesday. Here’s your 7-Day Forecast:
