Shade Tree Car Club holds year’s only traditional car show this weekend

BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – The Shade Tree Car Club is holding their first and only traditional car show of the year this weekend.

Shade Tree and other local car clubs have put on multiple community car cruises in the past, but this one will be a traditional show open to the public.

The treasurer of Shade Tree Car Club Stephanie French says that the car show will double as a food drive, with participants being required to bring a canned good to donate.

“We are raising awareness for hunger and we are collecting canned goods, and we have dropped our registration fee. It will be $10 plus a canned good item. This is our one and only car show this year. I hope it can bring togetherness in our car show family and our car show community,” French said.

Local restaurant Sweetz Da Snackery is provding food service for the show as well.

The event is free to the public and will be held at Crossroads Chevrolet in Beckley from 9 A.M. to 4 P.M. on Saturday, September 19, 2020.
