Severe Storms Knock Out Power Across Southern West Virginia

WEST VIRGINIA (WOAY) (UPDATED 9:20 P.M.) – Thousands are without power across Southern West Virginia after strong and severe storms push through.

Appalachian Power is reporting most of the outages are in Wyoming County.

  • Wyoming County:  3,709
  • McDowell County: 163
  • Raleigh County: 266
  • Mercer County: 490

Tazewell, Fayette, Monroe, & Summers counties are reporting very few outages at this time.
