Secretary of State advises business owners to submit annual reports before June 30 deadline

Oak Hill, WV (WOAY)- Secretary of State Mac Warner reminds business owners to file their annual report by the June 30 deadline.

Annual reports ensure that businesses keep their registration with the state updated with the latest information on their current physical location, officers, and agents.

The fee to file an annual report is $25.

Secretary Warner advises business owners to be on the lookout for third-party solicitors seeking to charge more to file on their behalf.

Businesses should file as soon as possible to avoid statutory late fees and being flagged in the state’s database as out of compliance.

Filing an annual report can be done online in minutes at business4.wv.gov.

Users can file as guests if they do not want to create a user account.
