Secret Sandwich Society Wants To Squash A False Rumor Going Around Town

FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WOAY) – One local restaurant wants to make the public aware of a false rumor being spread about his business.

The owner of Secret Sandwich Society says that a rumor is going around that the restaurant refuses to serve pipeline workers and coal miners, which the owner says is not true.

Lewis Rhinehart tells WOAY NewsWatch that everyone is welcome into the restaurant. Rhinehart goes on to say, “We do our best to roll out the red carpet and have very open arms and open minds to these people.  It’s very disheartening and frankly very hurtful that these rumors are coming from within our area and within our state and within our community.”

The restaurant is offering a 10% discount to any pipeline work and asks that you show some type of company identification.
