RALEIGH COUNTY, WV – Earlier this week, Governor Justice announced that schools would be closed for the remainder of the year.
Parents immediately had questions, including what that meant for classes and feeding programs. Local schools assure families that learning will still happen online and schools still plan to keep students fed.
“It doesn’t change how we do our meal distribution at all,” said Raleigh County Schools Superintendent David Price. “We will continue to do it weekly throughout the remainder of the school year.”
Parents had the opportunity to pick up five days worth of food earlier this afternoon. Parents have another chance to pick up food for their child next week.
