Scattered Memorial Day Showers; Another Rainy Week

WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Memorial Day will feature scattered showers across the region during the morning and afternoon before dissipating in the evening. The month of May continues to be wet, with the month ending with much of the same. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has the details:

The low-pressure system passing through the southern plains will be passing through the area tomorrow and Wednesday, bringing showers and thunderstorms across the region. However, unlike what’s happening in the southern plains, we will not see severe weather. Some storms may be gusty, but rain will be the main issue due to the amount of moisture associated with this storm.

The low pressure will pass through and leave behind scattered showers through the rest of the work week. Flooding won’t be an issue besides some vulnerable places if hit by an isolated downpour. It will be yet another wet week, finally stopping Saturday afternoon. The rest of the weekend will be dry as we will warm up into the low-70s, giving us a much needed break from the rain.
