Chesapeake, WV (WOAY) A registered offender has been arrested and charged with sexual assault in Kanawha County.
According to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office, detectives launched an investigation on May 27 following allegations of sexual assault from a male victim.
The victim reported to authorities that 75-year-old George W. Honaker sexually assaulted him on two separate occasions.
Honaker is a registered sex offender who was convicted of two counts of incest, second-degree sexual assault, and sexual abuse by a custodian in 1992.
He served 8 years and 7 months in prison in connection with the crimes.
Authorities arrested him without incident and charged him with second-degree sexual assault.
Honaker is currently in the South Central Regional Jail awaiting further court proceedings on a $50,000 bond.
