Recovery rate of all COVID-19 cases increase in West Virginia

CHARLESTON, WV (WOAY) – Over 50% of all West Virginia patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 has recovered.

According to the DHHR, 572 patients have recovered from COVID-19, which is 50.4% of all cases.

The fatality rate is at 4%.

The overall cumulative positive case count has dropped to 2.38%.  This number is critical, and if it remains below 3%, then West Virginia will continue to open.

Nearly 50,000 tests have been conducted, and 1,169 tests have come back positive.
