Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office Warning Citizens Of A Scam

RALEIGH COUNTY (WOAY) – The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office has received some phone calls from concerned citizens asking if the Sheriff’s Office is soliciting donations to purchase bullet proof vests for the dogs in our K-9 unit.

The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office is NOT soliciting any donations nor is the Sheriff’s Office using or employing any outside business or agency to solicit donations on our behalf.

If you are contacted by anyone concerning this it is a scam and do not give them any money or information or allow them to come to your home to pick the donation up.

EIf you choose to make a donation to the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office K-9 program it can be done in person at our Law Enforcement Headquarters located at 201 S. Eisenhower Drive.
