Beckley, WV (WOAY)- Raleigh County Parks and Recreation Authority is being honored for its commitment to community health.
The organization was recognized at the 2025 Celebrating Healthy West Virginia Awards, an initiative from the state’s Department of Health to spotlight efforts that help West Virginians live healthier lives.
Raleigh County Parks joined 45 other organizations in celebrating their positive impact.
Through partnerships with Active Southern West Virginia, WVU Tech, 4-H, local schools, and more, Raleigh County Parks offers inclusive programs that encourage outdoor activity, wellness, and community connection.
The recognition was part of the Try This West Virginia conference, culminating in a dinner honoring health-focused initiatives across the state.
