Raleigh County man charged with alleged sexual assault

BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – A Beckley man is facing alleged sexual assault charges.

According to court documents, on September 8, 2020, Raleigh County Deputies responded to a home about a sexual assault complaint.  Upon arriving at the scene, Deputies were advised that the suspect, Preston Dell Wilson, 25, had been caught having sex with a minor under 15-years-old by the minor’s guardians.   When confronted, an altercation ensued between Wilson and one of the guardians.  Wilson allegedly fled the residence and that he was thought to be still hiding on the property.  Deputies searched the area and found Wilson unconscious in the wooded area with a laceration to his neck and a knife.

During an interview, the minor advised that sexual intercourse had taken place with Wilson approximately 10-20 times since April 19, 2019.

When deputies interviewed Wilson, he admitted to having sexual intercourse with the minor child approximately 10-20 times.

Wilson is charged with three counts of third-degree sexual assault.  He is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 75,000 dollar bond.
