COAL CITY– A Raleigh County man has been arrested on grand larceny charges.
On Tuesday the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office received a call about grand larceny of a car at the MacArthur little general. The caller said the man, later identified as Jason Lilly, had shown a knife and stolen the victims car. Deputies found the vehicle traveling on coal city road. After a short pursuit, Lilly stopped the car after striking a mailbox. He then fled on foot, but deputies were able to catch him. Lilly was armed with a pocket knife and also had two types of controlled substances. He faces charges of larceny, possession, and fleeing, among others.
