WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Today is the last day of the three day dry streak we’ve been experiencing, which will lead to more rainy days in the upcoming week. We’ll start the day hazy with smoke slowly dissipating through the day before finally leaving Friday afternoon. After today, rain falls through the rest of the extended forecast. Meteorologist Christian Boteler dives into the details:
The rain chances will start tomorrow night around the 6 PM hour, though it will be more likely through the overnight hours into Saturday. Some storms will also be in the mix with isolated downpours as well, though these storms will also be more prominent this weekend. Over the next 48 hours, rain totals are very different across different sources, with some as low as a tenth of an inch and as high as three quarters of an inch. However, despite the isolated downpours and a couple of stronger storms, no severe weather is expected. Here’s a look at tomorrow’s severe weather outlook across the country:
The second half of the weekend is much of the same with more storms, some of them stronger with isolated downpours and a possibility of small hail and gusty winds. These won’t be strong enough to be severe, though they will impact your Father’s Day plans with or without the wind and hail. The beginning of the next work week will continue to bring rainy days, though the chances will continue to decrease into Wednesday. We’ll see some breaks in the rain, as these showers will be driven by daytime heating. Overnights will be relatively dry while the day will see better chances of rain. Here’s your 7-Day Forecast:
