Rain Showers Linger; Wonderful Monday Ahead

WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Showers and storms will make their way through the area by noon today, starting a trend of wet and cool days until Saturday afternoon. Keep your raincoat handy and remember, if you hear thunder, you can be struck by lightning. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has your full 7-Day Forecast:

The rain will continue on and off Friday through Saturday morning, eventually clearing up by Saturday afternoon. Sunday will be mostly sunny and nice, but Monday is the star of the show. While most will say Monday is the worst day of the week, the mostly sunny skies and temperatures reaching above 70 degrees will surely soften the blow.

Cherish the wonderful start to next week, as a cold front will quickly blow through Tuesday morning with some showers. This front will result in another cooldown, though not as intense as this weeks. Temperatures will reach just above freezing overnight and will stick in the 50s between Tuesday and Wednesday.

None of the storms coming up today will be severe, as this system is weaker than what we’ve previously seen this month. The rest of the rain may bring down a quarter to a half of an inch in most places, with more locally in the eastern parts of the area. Stay tuned with us and keep the raincoats handy for the next week or so.
