ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (WSYX/WTTE) – In response to controversy over “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” a Kentucky radio station decided to play the song on repeat.
On Sunday morning, WAKY broadcasted the song on loop for two straight hours.
“BABY, IT’S COLD OUTSIDE! We like it and we’re not afraid to play it on WAKY for the next couple of hours!” said the radio station on its Facebook page.
The song has garnered national attention since a Cleveland radio station decided to remove it from the holiday playlist.
A listener said the song, which was written in the 1940’s, has suggestions that a woman has to leave a man’s house as he tries to lure her to stay.
