Princeton Rays Sweep Doubleheader and Flirt with Perfect game

Princeton, WV (WOAY)- The Princeton Rays were at home hosting a doubleheader against the Burlington Royals they took game one on a walk-off 3 to 2. In the second game, it was all Princeton an absolute hit brigade through the early innings, giving Princeton an 11-Nothing lead in the fifth inning. With runners at first and third Wander Franco sends one back up the middle it deflected off the pitcher and it was a dominant 12-Nothing ball game. Then a groundout by Grant Witherspoon would make it 13 nothing when Connor Hollis came across to score. But what kept the fans in their seats? Luis Moncada. The left-handed pitcher with an amazing performance retiring the first 15 batters he faced. But in the six Burlington’s Colby Schultz got ahold of one to spoil the fireworks. Princeton easily takes the second game though 13 to 4 to sweep the doubleheader.
