Princeton Police Respond To Gun Threat At Princeton Middle School

PRINCETON, WV (WOAY) – The Princeton Police Department responding to a threat of a student bringing a gun to Princeton Middle School this morning.

On the evening of 12/13/2018, PPD officers received information that a student at Princeton Middle School heard rumors that a student was going to bring a gun to school.  Multiple officers responded to Princeton Middles School as students were arriving on (12/14/2018).

After a brief investigation, it was determined that the rumor was a misunderstanding and no student had the intention of bringing a weapon to school or harming anyone.

The school resource officer will remain at the school to ensure that the students feel safe.
