Preventing voting fraud

FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WOAY) – West Virginia secretary of state mac warner is urging the public to be diligent when it comes to voting fraud during this election season.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, more people are voting by mail in the 2020 election. Warner said mail voting is more vulnerable to fraud than voting in person and wants to remind everyone to take the extra precaution of absentee ballot fraud.

“I’m very concerned about the fraud issue in this particular election so I’m asking every citizen to be the eyes and ears on what’s going on in their community to ensure things are done properly,” said Warner.
