Raleigh County, W.V.- As part of Gov. Jim Justice’s Save Our State (SOS) tour, DHHR Cabinet Secretary Bill J. Crouch will head to the Raleigh County Commission on Aging to discuss potential cuts to the Aged and Disabled (AD) Waiver Program.
Joining Secretary Crouch will be Jack Tanner, director of the Raleigh County Commission on Aging, and clients served by the AD Waiver Program.
More than 6,000 senior West Virginians receive services through the AD Waiver Program. Aged and Disabled Waiver services enable recipients to remain at home or return home from a nursing home with personal attendant services that provide direct care assistance with daily living, essential errands and community activities. All of these services allow the person to remain as independent as possible in the community near family members and friends.
