President Donald Trump Tells WV To Not Vote For Blankenship Via Twitter

WEST VIRGINIA (WOAY)- President Donald Trump posted on twitter his thoughts of Don Blankenship and urged voters to stay away from Blankenship.

President Trump posted on his twitter early Monday morning one day before the primary election saying,

“To the great people of West Virginia we have, together, a really great chance to keep making a big difference,” he tweeted. “Problem is, Don Blankenship, currently running for Senate, can’t win the General Election in your State…No way! Remember Alabama. Vote Rep. Jenkins or A.G. Morrisey!”

Blankenship is running against five other GOP candidates in the primary election Tuesday including Bo Copley, Tom Willis, Evan Jenkins, Patrick Morrisey and Jack Newbrough.

Blankenship is the former CEO of Massey Energy. He announced his run for senate last November.
