Powerball Jackpot Hits $700 Million

Have you bought your Powerball ticket yet? Well, if you haven’t you may want to with the Powerball jackpot reaching a high of 700 million dollars, making it the second largest in United States history.

Powerball tickets only costing two dollars, has people all over the nation spending including several West Virginians. Some who are even spending way more than just two dollars. However, the odds of winning the jackpot aren’t so lucky, being only 1 in 292 million. But those odds aren’t stopping West Virginians from playing and even having a plan on what they would spend those big bucks on.

“I would pay my student loans off and then I would buy a house somewhere at the beach and just retire,” said John Prutsok, a resident of Summersville. “I would go help my brothers and sisters, I have 13 and I have two children and grandchildren. So, they would all want a little bit of help and I would give them as much as I could. I would also help my church,” said Robin Chapman, a resident of Ansted. While a resident of Buffalo NY, Jackson Brown, added, “I probably would pay off some loans, get a new truck, maybe buy a house down somewhere south.”

So if you haven’t already purchased your Powerball ticket, you still do have some time left! The drawing will be at 11 p.m. tonight. Good luck everyone!
