Police responding to reported shooting in Charleston, CAMC General on lockdown

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH REPORTS) — Police are on the scene after a reported shooting in Charleston.

Dispatchers said a man was taken to the hospital after he was reportedly shot in the face outside the men’s emergency shelter in the 500 block of Leon Sullivan Way.

Police are currently searching for a suspect.

Dispatchers said CAMC General has been placed on lockdown as a precaution.
