Police looking for person who left dogs inside plastic tote in Charleston

Charleston police officers are asking for your help to find out who left two puppies, one alive and one dead, in a plastic tote on the West Side of Charleston.

According to the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association; an anonymous tip led police to an alley near Five Corners, where an officer found the tote with the dogs inside.

The dog that was alive was dubbed “Bluebell” and was taken to the animal shelter’s emergency clinic.

Police are reviewing security cameras in the area. If you have any information as to who might have left the dogs at the site, contact the Charleston Police Department.
