Piney Creek Watershed Association provides financial help for select cities in need of septic remediation

Beckley, WV (WOAY) – The Piney Creek Watershed Association is providing financial help to repair septic tanks in select areas in Raleigh County.

The association hopes to offer homeowners septic tank pumping, repair, replacement, and installation for little to no cost.

The project also strives to educate homeowners on adequately maintaining their septic systems.

The initiative aims to reduce the number of fecal bacteria entering the Piney Creek watershed due to failing septic systems and provide systems to regions that don’t have one.

Eligible cities include Pemberton, Sullivan, Abney, Whitby, Jonben, and Fireco.
