PRINCETON, WV (WOAY) – Check out highlights from the Class AA Region 3 Section 2 championship game between Bluefield & PikeView.
The Lady Panthers gained momentum in the second and third quarters of a 53-41 win. Laken McKinney led all scorers with 17 points, while Shiloh Bailey added 15. Jaisah Smith was Bluefield’s leading scorer with 15 points.
The result means PikeView will host Wyoming East in regionals on Thursday, while Bluefield travels to Westside.
In boys basketball, Nicholas County lost 62-45 to Lewis County in the first round of Class AA Region 2 Section 2. Woodrow Wilson won their regular season finale over Parkersburg South 67-63.
