Over 60,000 Mountain State Voters Participated In Early Voting

CHARLESTON,WV (WOAY) – The WV early voting period came to a close this weekend. Secretary of State Mac Warner has released the final numbers for early voting.

In a release from Warner, 68,391 mountain state residents made their votes early!

Early voting began on April 25, and concluded on May 5. In Raleigh County there were 2,023 votes, Fayette County had 1,645 votes, Greenbrier County pulled in 1,818 votes and Mercer County had 2,679 votes.

The vote totals included in this report are not official and only include those early vote totals and absentee vote totals reported by each county and entered into the State Voter Registration System. Some counties use other methods to track early and absentee voting.

Primary day will take place on May 8th. Polls will operate from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
