Ongoing negotiations continues between Senate Democrats and Republicans on the next COVID-19 relief package

WEST VIRGINIA, WV (WOAY) – U.S. Sen. Mark Warner discussed the ongoing negotiations between Senate Democrats and Republicans on the next COVID-19 relief package this afternoon.

Warner pushed his Jobs and Neighborhood Investment Act in the package to advance economic recovery efforts for communities hardest hit by the COVID-19 crisis.

“I think that we wasted a month when Leader McConnell tried to put together a republican only deal and failed and couldn’t even get his own conference to agree. So we’re right back where we were back in March where the White House is negotiating with the Senate democrats and the House democrats,” said Warner.

Sen. Warner discussed the Great American Outdoors Act, which was signed into law by the President earlier this week.
