WILLIAMSBURG, WV (WOAY) – The victim was a 23 year old female from Lindside.
On Sunday, September 02, 2018, at approximately 5:00 p.m. Deputy Steve Hudnall, of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office, responded to an ATV accident on Cold Knob in Greenbrier County. This is an area commonly frequented by individuals who ride all- terrain vehicles.
The investigation revealed that Joshua Morgan, 28 years of age of Hillsboro, WV, was the operator of the ATV and Megan Thomas, 23 years of age from Lindside, WV, was a passenger on that vehicle.
Ms. Thomas was injured in the accident and would subsequently succumb to her injuries.
Joshua Morgan was arrested for DUI causing death and was arraigned before a Greenbrier County magistrate. He was released from custody after posting a $5,000.00 bond.
