One Person Arrested For Assaulting And Injuring Another Man In Beckley

BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – Beckley Police respond to shots fired this morning leaving one man injured and another man in jail.

On Thursday 3-8- 18 at approximately 8:00 am, Beckley Police Officers responded to 303 Woodlawn Av. in reference to a shots fired complaint. Upon arrival, it was determined that no shots had been fired and that an assault had taken place. The suspect, Brian Ruffin 33, knocked on the door and when the door was answered assaulted a male victim at the residence.

The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated and released at Raleigh General Hospital. Brian Ruffin was arrested and charged with unlawful wounding. Mr. Ruffin was remanded to the Southern Regional Jail in Lieu of $25, 000 bond. The investigation was handled by Detective Joe Stewart.
