One man is in jail after Police find drugs and over one-hundred thousand dollars in cash

SUMMERSVILLE, WV (WOAY) – A man from Flordia is arrested in Nicholas County after police find drugs and over 111,000 dollars in drug money.

On 09-23-2018, Sgt. Brandon Dodrill and Patrolman Logan Cox stopped a 2019 Cadillac sedan for speeding 65mph in a 50mph zone. During the course of the traffic stop the driver, James Campbell III of Boyton Beach, FL, gave officers suspicion of illegal activity.

Nicholas County Sheriff’s Department Cpl. Josh Ellison arrived on scene with K9 Dako to conduct a K9 sniff of the vehicle. With a positive alert by K9 officers searched the vehicle and discovered approximately 107 grams of THC candy, an undisclosed number of prescription pills and $111,980 of suspected drug money.

The driver was placed under arrest and taken to Central Regional Jail under a 25,000 dollar bond.
