Oak Hill Receives A K9 Officer

OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – The Oak Hill Police Department has a new officer.

He is a new set of paws on the ground ready to serve the community.  Meet Petro the one-year Belgian Malinois is the newest k9 member of the Oak Hill Police Department. He’s a new and strong addition to the team.

Petro’s nose will be used as a tool to sniff out drugs, help with criminal investigations and much more to clean up the city.

“It’s important to keep that bond with him, he’s basically his dad so he loves me like his father so we take him home take care of him make sure he wants to come to work and work,” said Cpl. Josh Jones, Oak Hill Police

Petro is here to serve and solve crimes, he’s more than a mans best friend, he is a true partner.
