Oak Hill Police reminds citizens of fireworks ordinance

OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – The Oak Hill Police Department would like to remind all citizens of the city that there are ordinances in the city limits that regulate the letting off of fireworks.

Specifically, fireworks are only permitted on Independence Day (July 4th), and other certain holidays, between the hours of 6 pm and 11 pm. Letting off fireworks prior to, or after July 4th is not permitted.

The department will have extra patrols in and around the city, and officers have been instructed to enforce the ordinances pertaining to fireworks.

Residents are encouraged to visit the city’s Facebook page to view the entire ordinance on fireworks.
