Oak Hill Native Named as State BOE President

CHARLESTON– West Virginia Board of Education Vice President Dave Perry has been named the board’s president.

The board voted unanimously Thursday to promote Perry. He will replace Tom Campbell, who served for the past two years and will remain part of the board.

The 65-year-old Perry was a school principal for 32 years and served in the Legislature from 2001 to 2012. He is a resident of Oak Hill and was appointed to the board in February 2017.

The board also voted Miller Hall as vice president.
